My brother and I would put popcorn kernels or bread in the little metal pan and push it through with the little plastic wand (incidentally getting a case of Toastaphobia). Inevitably whatever we put in there would get stuck. Of course we were always using it without supervision which was STRICTLY prohibited. We were less concerned of the possible gas fire that we thought could happen, and more worried about what would happen when mom got home from Westinghouse wondering what smelled like burning.
